Sleep Therapy & Collaborative Care – Oregon
Sleep Care That Fits the Bigger Picture
Sleep can be affected by medications, health conditions, mental health issues, and other factors. If you’re already working with other healthcare providers, sleep therapy can complement the care you’re receiving and keep your sleep goals connected to the bigger picture.
Your Care, Connected
People with insomnia are often managing other health concerns, including medications, health conditions, and mental health challenges. When these factors affect your sleep, coordinating with your healthcare providers can help keep the bigger picture in view.
What This Means For You
-
Already Working With a Provider?
Sleep therapy can complement the care you're already receiving. With your permission, Carrie can communicate with another provider when information about your sleep is relevant to your care.
-
Want to Reduce Your Use of Sleep Medications?
If you’d like to reduce your use of sleep medications, whether prescription or over-the-counter, Carrie can share what that process could look like and develop a plan that works toward your goals. When prescription medication is involved, she can coordinate with your prescriber and, when appropriate, assist with guiding you through the process of tapering off of the medication.
-
Need a Different Kind of Support?
Not every sleep concern is something CBT-I addresses on its own. If another type of evaluation or care would be helpful, Carrie can recommend when bringing another provider into the picture makes sense.

Focused, Not
Forever
Sleep therapy with Carrie is a focused course of care rather than an open-ended commitment. You’ll work together over a series of sessions to look at what’s affecting your sleep, practice new strategies, and make adjustments along the way. Most people work with Carrie for 4–8 sessions after the initial session, with sessions typically scheduled every 1–2 weeks. The exact number of sessions depends on your sleep patterns, goals, and progress.

Make Room for
Better Nights
Carrie can help you build practical tools for when nights get difficult and spend less time worrying about what happens when you can’t sleep.
